What a battery passport looks like: public information of a fictitious home storage battery, protected tiers, later obligations and the signature.

This page shows a battery passport as BatteryPass publishes it, with **fictitious data** for a home storage battery. It is not a real passport: the QR code and the address point to an example domain, and the manufacturer does not exist. The field names come from our field registry.

## What you see here

- **Public information** is visible to anyone who scans the QR code: manufacturer, category, chemistry, performance values, end-of-life information and the declaration of conformity.
- **Protected information** such as the detailed composition, dismantling documents and condition data is shown only to authorised parties; the public only sees that it exists.
- **Later obligations** such as the carbon footprint appear in the passport with their trigger instead of as an empty line.
- **The signature** proves that the passport was published this way; earlier versions stay retrievable by date.
